Why did you decide to take AP Language instead of English Honors III? What do you expect the differences to be between the two courses, especially considering that they meet at the same time? What is your independent study plan for the next year in order to achieve a passing score on the AP exam in May, especially since you did not pass AP Euro and/or AP Bio?
I decided to take AP Language because your class is my favorite. Honestly I did not want to take English Honors III because I believe that I should take an AP class this year, but I do not have an interest in any other except for AP Language and AP US History. When choosing an AP class, one should take a class that they seem to enjoy and is not always confused on what the teacher is talking about. I expect the differences in the english classes to be the amount of work. Both classes may have the same assignment, but AP will have to go more in-depth on their work. My independent study plan will be writing. Over the summer, I took the liberty of writing poems and short stories. I believe that this will help my writing skills. I hope this plan will help me and along with reading and extra studying, I plan to earn a passing score on the AP exam. I am anxious to attend your classes this year. :-)
ReplyDeleteI chose to take AP Language because I believe that if I focus this year and get the necessary help I will have a chance to pass the Exam. I like taking your class anyways and I thought that it would be worth the try. I have decided to put aside time everyday to prepare for the exam and make sure that I complete all of my assignments. I will either find a classroom to complete my studying in or I will go to my local library. This time I will take more time to focus on preperationa and I will find time for myself to do this. If I find myself struggling, I will make sure to come to you as my teacher because I know you can help me.
ReplyDeleteI decided to take AP Language because I thought it would do me some good. It will be the challenging class motivating me to keep up after all it is a college course class. And if I pit in the extra work it shouldn’t be so bad. Well the difference I see is that in AP things while be taken more seriously because it’s going to require more focus just because of the name. Since it’s in the same class and at the same time I think we’re going to get the same work, the people in AP are just going to have to show that they complete it better. Well personally I haven’t taken an AP class before so I don’t know what to expect for the exam in May but what I will do is just focus a little bit more and get acquainted with the exam. That’s all I can say for now about that exam. I’ve heard stories about it but I’m looking forward to seeing how it is going to be
